Meadow Cottage is a centuries old Carmarthenshire, Brecon Beacon stone building that was originally used as a byre and stables. The sympathetic conversion includes a brand new interior with beautiful solid oak doors hewn from oak on the Estate, a fully equipped kitchen with cream finished cabinetry, up to the minute appliances and beautiful traditional style Heritage bathrooms. Burnished quarter sawn solid oak flooring is laid throughout the living area and bedrooms;bathrooms have ivory ceramic tile. Add superb quality beds and linens,traditional decor and the most superb view down over the valley to the distant Brecon Beacon mountains on the far horizon and you have the perfect holiday cottage.
The Estate affords a characterful glimpse into country life and has a long and fascinating past. Constructed of local stone, Meadow Cottage has been immaculately refurbished with oak timbers from the estate and Welsh slate. Stable doors, an inglenook and superb views with the beautiful far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside make Meadow Cottage an idyllic holiday destination.
Memories will be of long lazy picnics & barbecues and the enjoyment of the simple pleasures of country living.

Three steps lead down to the large living room that has gorgeous views down over the valley and out towards the distant hills along the skyline. Wide cross cut oak flooring, hugely comfortable sofas and a 52" large screen TV/DVD to watch Countryfile, Downton Abbey and all your favourite programmes during relaxing moments after country walks. This is a gorgeous room with an abundance of natural light and huge oak beams. The wood burner comes with a plentiful free supply of logs in the cooler months.
The eat-in kitchen has an extra wide range cooker with ceramic top & large oven, an extra capacity American style fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Creamy ivory cabinetry and blue & white Churchill crockery help to make this a country kitchen that is a joy to cook in. The dining table seats 6 comfortably and a you can always pick up a few tips from Jamie Oliver on the flat screen TV that is visible from the kitchen. Another stable door leads out onto the terrace overlooking the valley and out to the distant mountains of the Brecon Beacons stretching across the distant horizon. Try some succulent local Carmarthenshire lamb or Welsh Black beef steaks grilled over charcoal accompanied by a crisp salad and crusty bread – it’s a feast that can't be surpassed.
Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own bathroom and super thick top quality comfortable mattresses. The beds are freshly made up with the beautiful linens in preparation for your arrival.
Master bedroom has a magnificent Colonial style superking size 6 ft wide bed. Bedroom 2 had a king size 5 ft wide sleigh bed. Bedroom 3 has two creamy-ivory coloured country style twin beds.
All three bathrooms have traditional Heritage style fixtures, a stack of thick, fluffy white towels and heated towel rail. There is a plentiful constant supply of hot water.
Bathroom 1 has a bath-tub, toilet, wash basin & bidet. Bathroom 2 has a double size shower, wash basin & toilet Bathroom 3 has twin wash basins, toilet & a huge walk in Travertine marble shower.
